What would you tell someone looking to start a career in banking?

I would recommend starting on the teller line. It’s an entry level position, but it’s the best place to get a base knowledge of banking that can benefit you for years to come. The teller line is also a great place to meet and learn about other departments /career paths and to find your passion. Often, people assume the career path looks like teller, banker, then branch manager but we offer far more opportunity than just that!  – Ashley Glantz, HR Recruiting Officer

What is the benefit of working for a Montana family owned and operated company?

Employees get a front row seat to seeing the fruits of their labor. We have the privilege of meeting our customers growing families, watching a new business open after closing on their loan, and watching a son or daughter take control of their family ranch. It’s amazing to watch our communities change and know that we helped make some of those changes.  – Lisa Donovan, Human Resources Officer

To me, a successful person is someone who takes great pride in what they do, realizes how important it is, and wants to share what they’ve learned with others. We see that happen all of the time. We’re all in this together, serving one another.  – David Henneberry – AVP, Human Resources Officer

Do you offer professional development opportunities?

Yes! I am actually working on a SHRM certification for my positon. I often have supervisors calling about employee development for their people, and we work very hard to make that happen for them.  – Ashley Glantz, HR Recruiting Officer
